Wire and cable manufacturing process

The production process of wire and cable can be summarized into three steps: conductor drawing, twisting and sheathing.

1. Drawing of copper and aluminum conductors, the conductor raw materials are drawn through the die holes of the wire drawing machine to draw monofilaments of the required cross-sectional shape and size.

Second, twisting, twisting multiple monofilaments together according to the standard requirements to form a core that meets the requirements of softness.

3. Covering with protective layer, pass the prepared wire core through the extruder, and let the insulating layer wrap the conductive wire core.

4. After water cooling and cooling, the package tightness is detected by a spark tester.

Through the above steps to obtain the wires in our lives, then according to the requirements, the insulated wires of different sizes are covered with inner sheath, twisted, and covered with cushion layers. According to the requirements of different specifications and models, repeat the above process and twist. Wire cores with different diameters are covered with different protective layers to obtain cables of different specifications and models.
