1. Antimony flame retardants
Advantages: Antimony trioxide cannot be used alone as a flame retardant, but when used in combination with an appropriate halogen compound, it can exert particularly effective flame retardant properties. Antimony series flame retardant synergistic mechanism Disadvantages: heavy metals, toxic, and arsenic homologues, crude products generally contain arsenic and other heavy metals, arsenic trioxide is arsenic. Can not be used as green filler and green flame retardant.
2. Aluminum hydroxide flame retardant (ATH)
Advantages: low price, good flame retardancy.
Disadvantages: poor heat resistance, dehydration starts at 200 °C, complete dehydration at 330 °C to 350 °C, and the curing of resin is mostly within the dehydration temperature range of aluminum hydroxide, resulting in foaming in the finished synthetic resin, uneven surface, dielectric The performance is degraded and the yield is low. Applying to high temperature will cause fogging of silica gel, whitening and foaming of the product, and decrease in dielectric properties, etc. EC≈60~100μS/cm, easy to absorb moisture.
3. Magnesium hydroxide flame retardant
Advantages: The application of magnesium hydroxide flame retardant (430 ℃ decomposition) is non-toxic
Disadvantages: Not acid-resistant, acetic acid can dissolve magnesium hydroxide, only suitable for low-grade products. Easy to absorb moisture, poor dispersion, poor dielectric properties.
4. High heat-resistant boehmite flame retardant (Boehmite, ALOOH)
Advantages: 1% dehydration temperature is above 350 ℃, 500 ℃ dehydration reaches the peak value, EC<50μS/cm, strong dielectric property, solves the problem of product defects and lower dielectric property caused by low dehydration temperature of aluminum hydroxide, resistant to Strong acidity and alkalinity.
Disadvantages: The flame retardancy is slightly lower than that of aluminum hydroxide, and more needs to be added to achieve the same flame retardancy. However, its biggest feature is high heat resistance, thermal conductivity, acid and alkali resistance, and high heat resistance functional materials can increase the added value of products.
