What is 12G-SDI?

12G-SDI is a transmission for 2160p*60p (commonly known as true 4K) applications. 12G-SDI can integrate 4 lines of 3G-SDI signals into one, and directly transmit 4K audio and video. Corresponding to the refresh of 60 frames per second, with 12G-SDI, one line can solve 4K transmission. In this way, less lines and costs are required, the system is simpler, and the picture quality is more guaranteed.

12G-SDI is backward compatible with 3G/HD/SDMADI, DVB-ASI, SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G UHD-SDI and other signal formats, and supports SMPTE ST 2082-1, SMPTE ST 2081-1 , SMPTE ST 424, SMPTE ST 292-1, SMPTE ST 259, DVB-ASI (270M) and MADI (125M) signals.
